Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs
President Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio has appointed Amb. Hon. Patrick Michaelson Gibrilla as Sierra Leone’s youngest Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs to help addresses the growing challenges confronting the youth.
Born in Moyamba but grew up in Makeni and later in Bo. Started his schooling at UMC Primary school, proceeded to the Government Secondary School Jimmi and later the Government Secondary school Bo (Bo School). Graduated from the University of Sierra Leone with BSc Honors in Applied Accounting and holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Engineering. Currently pursuing another Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Postgraduate in Project management. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Accounting Technician, Certified Financial Crime Investigation and Anti-Money Laundering Expert, Certified Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.
He has Worked for various Multinational Companies and Diplomatic Agencies (Restless Development as Volunteer Peer Educator, Addax Bioenergy Makeni, as Company Auditor, Parker and Co Liberia as Senior Audit Associate, Brac International as Audit and Compliance Manager, German Cooperation as Regional Coordinator, Africa Youth Commission as Commissioner of Trade, Investment & Industry, United Nations as Head of Youth Empowerment Programme, served as Country State Owned Enterprise Business Analyst at the OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
He is a politician and a national figure, he’s the National Deputy Young Generation Leader of the Ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party and also double as the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs
